Method and Results

I began with basic questions about her hobbies, as recommended in the assignment description. My approach focused on understanding what she truly wants: I believe that before someone plays with a toy, they must first desire it. Only when we have a toy that fulfills a need will we return to it repeatedly. Thus, I aimed to create something that would match what she hopes to gain from this project.

From the interview, I discovered two key characteristics: First, she has a deep affection for cute stuffed animals and yearns for a comforting companion that can provide emotional support. Second, she needs money to pursue her passions for art, travel, and collecting JellyCat plushies, which aren't inexpensive pursuits. Her ultimate goal is to earn substantial income to support these dreams.

Three Sketches and Ideas

Here are three versions of sketches I created that fulfill both of these criteria: cute stuffed animals (Dogs) and bring in money.
